This is work that you can take even if you have a full-time position. It’s incredibly flexible and allows you to work during the day and complete the writing on nights and weekends. Many companies are actively searching for teachers to write educational content for them. While some writing platforms don’t require any kind of education or experience, those who specialize in educational content want qualified teachers to write for them.
Selling Education Materials
If you don’t want to write for one company, you can create your own educational materials to sell to other teachers. Lesson plans, activities and worksheets are all in demand at sites like Teachers Pay Teachers. You’re helping other teachers as well as yourself by selling materials. You might also decide to create tutorials or video courses for other teachers or students. These educational materials are in demand too. Platforms like Udemy allow people to upload their courses online and set their own prices.
Virtual Teaching
Teaching jobs can be done virtually with a variety of platforms on the internet. You can apply for a company that teaches its students in virtual classrooms across the world. While you might have to work full-time at this kind of job, you could teach people from other countries in different time zones. This won’t interfere with your substitute teaching availability.
